One table is suitable for performing most surgical positions and accesses, thanks to the possibility of using additional accessories. A full range of positioning is provided by a low minimum height (550 mm – variant 5.20) combined with extreme lateral and longitudinal tilt. Emergency control systems allow you to work even in case of failure or power failure (configuration and availability depending on the variant). OPTIMA offers a full range of adjustment, high performance, high load capacity of up to 460 kg and very good tabletop translucency, while taking care to maintain an economically reasonable price.
The modular table top is connected by means of intuitive quick couplers (wedge-design, „press to play” approach), protected against „tearing out” segments from the table top. The accessories are intended to be operated by one person in order to shorten the service time of the table. The table is very easy to maneuver – both the „T” base and the „H” base have wheels, making OPTIMA a completely mobile table. Dedicated controls are intuitive and easy to use, they are equipped with built-in systems that prevent accidental activation, protecting against unintentional change of position. The table detects key sections of the modular table top, eliminating the risk of collision and suggesting appropriate actions to the user in the event of any danger of collision.
The table has been designed to make imaging as easy as possible and to provide the sharpest X-ray images. The carbon table top (available in some variants) is based on our experience with the TotalClear™ table top, which we use in the FLARE model – the safest imaging table in the world. The 2,8” IPS LCD screen allows you to see its content even from a large angle. The remote control has backlight for the screen and buttons. It is equipped with an indicator (value is displayed in percentages) of the battery charge, the statu of the current table top configuration, real-time information about the segments (displayed in millimeters or degrees) and the bbSafe™ system – double protection against accidental activation. On the large and easy to read LCD, the table also informs about collisions, errors and provides information about limits and other detected problems.
It communicates with the table via Bluetooth technology – therefore it works independently of the disposables placed on the table top. It can be charged wirelessly in the docking station. It has all the functions of the bbSafe™ controller.
In case of a software error or damage to the main controller, we can use the panel as a backup control. It can be detached from the column and used in a hand like a standard controller.
Only available in a table with a „H” base – allows you to regulate all electro-hydraulic movements, even after a power outage or with empty main batteries.
It can be used as an additional element to control table movements, it is especially useful in procedures performed in a sitting position, e.g. neurosurgery or gynaecology / urology.
Connect the table to a wired remote control, add a wireless controller, equip the table with an additional panel attached directly to the table column, add a foot controller, or choose Famed OPTIMA with an alternative drive. The choice is yours.
The table can work in the standard (A) and reversed configuration (B, leg and head are swapped with each other). It is also possible to use modular table tops that will enlarge the imaging window. The length of the imaging window on the table reaches 1,500 mm with the appropriate accessories. OPTIMA allows 360° x-ray imaging over a length of 890 mm, thanks to the AS-67 tabletop, which has two accessory rails near the installation slots. Accessories can also be mounted along the entire length of the imaging window – using InfiniMove™ adapters. The tabletop allows the installation of translucent attachments for head/spine surgery (adapter needed) and 360° imaging.
The table can be manufactured with a carbon or HPL table top. Both are translucent to X-rays. The difference is the image quality (better on the fiber variant) and the translucency parameter (0.25 mm Al vs. 0.83 mm Al) – it reduces the harmful dose of radiation with each photo (or fluoroscopy). It is a very important factor affecting the work safety of the staff, who are exposed to daily X-ray exposure.
Longitudinal shift, flat base (T), asymmetrical arrangement of the column, carbon or translucent HPL table top material and carbon fiber crossbar reinforcements allow you to freely use a C-arm. The table top has a certified high X-ray translucency parameter, which reduces the radiation dose during imaging.

The position shown above, lowers the operating field even below 550 mm; double joint abduction of leg plates allow for an easy access to the patient. Arm supports can be locked with a single lever which increases the amount of space around the patient.
Surgeries of the upper or lower limbs can be performed on dedicated tops or in traction devices. Prone, supine and lateral positioning is available.
The table has dedicated controls for the Flex/ Reflex position. It also enables the spine to be operated in the posterior approach. The 40° T/ AT angle allows you to adjust the compression of the vertebrae.
The elevation can be carried out using the kidney bench, backrest or leg section articulation. Accessories allow the patient to be stabilized in lateral or prone/supine position.
The low position of the table allows for comfortable use of instruments on top of the patient. Long shift combined with 360° imaging helps in performing spine surgery.
A dedicated top for head surgery with a wide range of adjustments can be combined with the low position of the table and long shift – an ideal combination for working while seated.
Treatments can be performed on a standard table top with a cutout or on an additional gynaecological section. 40° Trendelenburg tilt will facilitate access for a surgeon or a robot.

The SO-12 orthopedic extension was used for the operation, (a carbon fiber version of the SO-14 is also available). The attachment provides the option of abduction of the unoperated leg or complete removal of the unused attachment arm.

Famed OPTIMA facilitates the work of the medical and nursing team. It’s not only about the aspect of using the roentgenograms, but also issues such as not having to have a radiology technician present or being able to use just one mobile X-ray machine instead of two. A pleasant surprise for pediatric anesthesiologists was the transparency of the table for X-rays. After they inserted the central puncture into the subclavian vein, under operating room conditions, they could immediately check the position of the catheter in the right atrium of the heart. Without having to transport the child to the Imaging Laboratory. From trauma cases, we have already operated on, among others, a fractured tibia with secondary displacement, initially treated conservatively in plaster immobilization. Thanks to the translucency of the distal part of the Famed Optima table and its footrests, it was possible to place an intramedullary ESIN anastomosis with TENsystem wires quickly and without the need for subsequent plaster immobilization. For the patient, these expert formulations mean an almost immediate possibility of rehabilitation and the prospect of a faster recovery.
