Thanks to a Polish company, complicated minimaly invasive surgery procedures can be performer at the University Hospital of Tenerife. Famed \u017bywiec has equipped the Spanish facility with an operating table that has the world\u2019s best x-rau translucency. In the first half of the year the company form \u017bywiec continued positive trends in the growth of\u00a0 foregin sales. Famed i salso counting on growth on the Chinese market, strategic for it, as a result of the acquisition made there. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

They operate on Tenerife thanks to a Polish company<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In June, Famed delivered the Famed FLARE operating table to the University Hospital of Tenerife. Until then, complicated minimally invasive surgery procedures, to which the modern table from \u017bywiec is dedicated, had been postponed by hospital staff.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

– The first long-planned procedure to be performed with the Famed Flare was a complex endovascular stenting procedure of the femoral vein. We are happy to have been able to help patients in this way. Our table was very well evaluated by surgeons and assisting staff, who had the opportunity to test its most important functions during an 8-hour operation. They appreciated above all the translucency of the tabletop, the range of the x-ray field, the table’s functionality and the intuitive operation,\u00bb explains Micha\u0142 Grossy<\/strong>, Famed’s product manager.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

Famed continues positive trends<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

The first half of the year for the company from \u017bywiec was associated with the continuation of positive trends in sales profitability, as well as in the efficiency of use of the capital employed. Sales in this period (compared to the same period last year) increased by 10 percent. Among the products that enjoy the greatest demand among clients are hospital beds for intensive care units and operating tables. Famed is also investing in its equipment manufacturing technology.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n

– The demand for hospital beds from Zywiec is not decreasing. Our electric NEXO – one of our export locomotives, apart from functionality, offers low price to our customers. Therefore, in order to maintain competitiveness of this model – which successfully competes with beds made by over a dozen global companies – it is necessary to optimize production costs, while maintaining quality, of course. That is why we are modernizing the production line at the hospital bed varnishing and assembly department,\u00bb says Marek Suczyk, Famed’s Vice President.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n

Acquisition in China may result in sales increase several times<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In the spring, Famed \u017bywiec increased its involvement in the strategic Chinese market. Famed \u017bywiec has established joint venture cooperation with FAM BEIJING, which introduced the Polish brand to China in 2004 and has been its distributor ever since. The result of the cooperation so far is the sale of \u017bywiec products to several hundred hospitals in more than 30 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. In China, Famed generates almost 20 percent of its annual revenue from export sales, remaining the only Polish manufacturer of operating tables and hospital beds present in the Middle Kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n

– The joint venture sends a clear signal to our partners that we are tying ourselves to them for the long term. Additionally, as a co-owner of FAM BEIJING we will have a greater influence on sales activities. We hope that this will result in a several-fold increase in sales in all product segments that we supply to China,\u00bb comments Marek Suczyk.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

The \u017bywiec-based company provides Chinese customers with the most advanced products, such as Famed HYPERION dedicated to bariatric surgery or intensive care beds.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Polish medical equipment in Southeast Asia and Latin America<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Among other Famed contracts completed in the first half of the year were deliveries to South-East Asian countries. Burma is another country to which Famed Nexo units were delivered – one of the best-selling hospital beds of Polish production in the world. On the other hand, Famed delivered Su-03 operating tables to Indonesia. The company was also active in Latin America, participating in one of the region’s largest trade fairs (Expomed, Mexico) and holding a series of meetings with distributors in Costa Rica and Peru.
